	Artwork in Noordereiland, Rotterdam. Holland is a fascinating place and the Dutch just love their artwork. Noordereiland is no different and has taken the description of art to a new level. The island itself looks like a ship and local artist Joe Cillen has capitalised on this unique landmark; read about Joe and his artwork - here . Most of these images are from what Joe calls the ships 'engine room'. The entire alleyway has been painted by local artists (see footnote) - watch this space as Joe is preparing the opposite side of the wall as we speak. Graffiti artist 'Mr xxx' will soon be visiting the island again to compete the work (June 2005). I won't be visiting again until next year.....
